High-profile couple agrees to joint custody after divorce

On Behalf of | Jul 10, 2023 | Child Custody |

During their divorce, Mississippi parents have the right to seek terms in their custody and visitation orders that make the most sense for their individual situation. They can include terms that are beneficial for their unique family needs, and they have the right to negotiate a final order that is sustainable and practical for years to come. Recently, actor Armie Hammer and his wife, Elizabeth Chambers, agreed to terms in their custody order that have them sharing joint custody.

Details of their custody order

The custody agreement is in place just weeks after their high-profile divorce was finalized. The two parents stated that they are committed to protecting the best interests of their kids, and they are sharing joint custody. This will allow them to both have extensive time with their children, providing a sense of stability and continuity of lifestyle. They are also sharing legal custody.

Legal custody refers to the right that a parent has to make important decisions on behalf of his or her children. This means that the two parents will work together on matters related to education, religious training and more. As part of their parenting agreement, both parents will refrain from smoking around the kids or giving them much candy.

An individual and personal agreement

No two custody plans are the same. The right custody and visitation order for a Mississippi family will depend on the details of the individual situation, the needs of the kids and more. When creating a unique and effective plan, it is helpful to seek the guidance of an experienced family law attorney.
